Electra, 2021 - Large Ink Drawing
This large ink on paper work was completed in January 2021 but is part of a series of works based on Greek myth started in 2016. It is an iconic work that Panagiotis has returned to a number of times over the years. Electra is a dark rendering both literally and metaphorically. It is a story of the human condition - passion, power, betrayal, heinous crimes, rivalries and divine anger and based on the play by Sophocles.
It is an ink and pastel drawing on Canson 300gsm 100% cotton rag acid free paper. The paper size is (h) 150cm x (w) 90cm and is an unframed work.
